REVIEW by GAMBERO ROSSO – ITALIAN WINES 2010

ITALIANWINES2010

“…An admirable wine from this grape made our finals, the Molise Tintilia Rutilia ’07 by Pasquale Salvatore, a winemaker who bodes well for the future of quality wines in this region.”

“Pasquale Salvatore is Molise’s youngest winemaker. His enthusiasm and his love of this territory are helping him develop a first-rate business in the village of Ururi, where he has recently invested in the family estate. Pasquale is determined to upgrade his vines and refurbish his cellar. He has support from a talented oenologist, Carmine De Iure, in a project to re-establish the quintessential Molise grape, tintilia. It was our favourite from the range we tasted.”

“The ’07 Molise Tintilia Rutilia is a fine wine and made this year’s finals. The nose is well-developed and intense, with a nice balsamic note and varietal aromatics introducing a juicy, full-bodied palate with an appealing long finish that bodes well for future vintages.”
